The Knoll is a 2 bedroom idyllic cottage situated in the picturesque village of Rosedale Abbey. Doggies are more than welcome! Enter a realm of retreat magic and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to The Knoll. Nestled in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, The Knoll invites adventure seekers and lovers of luxury.
In 2023 we bought The Knoll as a run down, hardly lived in home. We instantly saw its incredible potential and began work straight away. We’re very proud of our renovations, it brings us great joy to offer our guests this beautiful property. The bungalow has 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom with a roll top copper bath and separate shower and a large open plan kitchen, diner and living room.
The outside space is endless… private parking for 3 cars, a terrace area with a hot tub with views direct into the valley, gardens, tree’s, plants and an enclosed area for dogs.
The Knoll is set on ground floor level, including the 2 bedrooms.

As you approach along the private driveway you get that special feeling when you arrive that says, this is going to be a very special break. Step inside and take in the beauty of the stunning interiors. The open plan space is perfect for families and friends to gather together and catch up in front of the log burning fire and enjoy an evening meal.
Great care and attention has been given to the design and colour scheme used, giving this bungalow a calm and peaceful ambience. If you haven’t had a chance to make it to the shops yet, the hamper full of essential goodies is a welcome sight. Don’t worry, your doggy will get their own hamper too!

The Knoll is based in the quaint village of Rosedale Abbey, in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
Brollies, binoculars, torches, iron/ironing board, washing up liquid, cloths and scourer, kitchen cleaner, dishwasher and laundry tablets, kitchen towel and tea towels, toilet rolls, kitchen roll, liquid hand wash, cling film, foil, condiments, are all provided for your use.

What’s Nearby
There are 2 pubs, a village shop and a handful of tea rooms in the village. Please note some of the tea rooms have seasonal opening hours. Beautiful walks and the world famous Chimney Bank cycle route right on your doorstep.

The Living Room & Kitchen
The wood burner is perfect for those cooler nights when you can snuggle into the luxurious soft furnishings, or just relax with a good book and a glass of wine.
Poor yourself a glass of wine, sit back and relax whilst picking your favourite movie on the SMART TV, or connect your phone to the Bluetooth speaker and enjoy dazzling conversation with your friends and family all night long whilst listening to some groovy tunes.
With stunning views overlooking the valley from the kitchen window, you’ll be fighting over the washing up chores (although there is a dishwasher!).
There’s a separate laundry/drying room-perfect for drying coats and boots after a day exploring the Moors.

The open plan living allows you to share your time together. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances including a induction hob and beautiful cookware, you have all you need to create a romantic supper or a delicious lunch to enjoy in the garden.
Gorgeous details like local timber work tops, relaxing colour schemes which fit the surrounding areas, delicate glasses and unique cutlery…everything to make your holiday feel special.
There’s a solid wood country dining table and chairs big enough to seat you all.
Bedrooms
The Knoll has 2 beautifully decorated bedrooms. Both bedrooms have SMART TV’s and use only the most luxurious bedding.
Bedroom One
Bedroom 1 has a super king bed which can be made into twin beds upon request. The deep pocket sprung mattresses make for a dreamy night sleep. The walk in wardrobe has plenty of room to hang all of your clothes and belongings, there’s also a chest of draws in the bedroom.
Bedroom Two
Bedroom 2 has a king size bed and patio doors which lead into the garden, perfect for summer mornings sat drinking your first cup of tea.
Bathing
The property has 1 bathroom with a large, stunning, copper roll top bath. A separate shower, WC and hand wash basin. Warm your towels up on the towel rail ready for when you get out of the hot tub.
The bathroom is stocked with Elemis hand & body wash and lotion.
Relax and unwind
As you come up the driveway you will see the bungalow sat peacefully amongst a abundance of tree’s and bushes. You will instantly feel relaxed and secluded from everyday life, though just a few minutes walk to on of the nearest local pubs.
To the side of the property we have a sunken 6 seater hot tub surrounded by patio floor with a small table and 2 chairs. The fairy lights are welcoming when you fancy a late night dip.
From the hot tub you will see exquisite views of the countryside from every angle. You may even have some local friendly cows and sheep come up to the fence to say hi.
Enjoy al-fresco meals on the upper patio, several steps up. Plan your day with coffee, or enjoy a glass of fizz while watching the wildlife in the neighbouring fields. Your doggies can run free in the enclosed dog garden.
Luxury bedding and bedroom furnishings make for a dreamy night sleep.
Two dogs are very welcome.
We charge £50 per dog per stay.
Children and babies are very welcome. We can provide a high chair and travel cot (bring your own bedding) upon request. We also have an additional Z bed if you have an extra child for £20.
- There is private parking for 3 car’s.
- Bike storage is available.
The house is fully WiFi connected so you can keep in touch with the outside world if you need to and make full use of the SMART TV’s.
Please note there is little/no telephone signal in the area, so the WiFi comes in handy.
