The Piggery is in Sleights, one of the North Yorkshire Moors villages and is surrounded by sheep-filled pastures, ancient woodlands and tinkling streams.
Wellies, brollies, binoculars, torches, iron/ironing board, washing up liquid, cloths and scourer, kitchen cleaner, dishwasher and laundry tablets, kitchen towel and tea towels, toilet rolls, kitchen roll, liquid hand wash, cling film, foil, condiments, are all provided for your use.

The Living Room
Your luxury cottage holiday will begin in style, with a fire ready laid for you to light and the smell of freshly baked bread as you open the door, together with a luxury hamper filled with local goodies. There’s deep feather-filled sofas, with views that will take your breath away, an Apple iPad connecting to a bluetooth speaker which is also loaded with bespoke travel suggestions, free Wi-Fi, smart TV’s with Netflix and a DVD and book library.
Style and Character
Dating from 1800, this former farm labourer’s cottage has immense historical charm and a pretty cottage garden. All 3 bedrooms enjoying their own en-suites it really is a fab getaway for friends or families. However the incredible view is the star of the show here.
It’s been decorated in a modern rustic style, with pieces made by local Moors artisans, including the ironwork of the new balcony, hand-forged by our local blacksmith, local artist painting, and the stone built fireplace.
The Piggery kitchen area is perfectly formed and stocked with everything you need to cook that Sunday afternoon roast.
Granite work surfaces, sharp knives, Wedgewood crockery, Royal Doulton glassware, gas hob, electric oven, large fridge/freezer with ice-maker, dishwasher, and a range of cookery books to inspire the foodie in you.There is a chunky Oak dining table with overhead industrial pendant lighting and also a comfy seating area with a vintage leather sofa, so you can chat to each other whilst preparing and serving – ideally with a glass of something scrummy from our honesty bar.Or why not throw open the french doors onto the balcony and eat al-fresco while watching the steam trains puff along in the valley on their way into Whitby!
Whichever of the 3 bedrooms you choose, your bed is king-sized and as comfortable as a cloud, with ultra-soft 600 thread count Egyptian cotton bed sheets layered with plump pillows and sumptuous mattress toppers. It is incredibly peaceful and the views are of the sheep-filled pastures and wooded moorland and trickling streams.
The ground floor bathroom has a walk in shower and is suitable for guests with reduced mobility, and there is a cloakroom with WC on the ground floor too.

Fire up the Weber BBQ and cook your steak or lobster to perfection on your own private patio, or eat on the large glazed balcony leading off the kitchen and catch those amazing sunsets.
There is a lawned area to the rear so children or dogs have the space to run and play and a private front garden with well stocked shrubs, fruit trees (help yourself if in season) and a further patio area with seating in which to soak up the morning sun!
Watch the deer in the field, or a partridge hop into your garden. There is an abundance of wildlife.
Enjoy al-fresco meals
Plan your day with coffee, or enjoy a glass of fizz while watching the North Yorkshire Moors Steam train puff along in the valley below on its way into Whitby.

Two dogs are very welcome. We charge £50 per week or short break, per dog.
Doggy Day Care or Boarding
Just a short distance from the cottages is a local doggy day care and boarder the Happy Hounds Pet Service, should you require to book prior to your arrival. You can contact them on 07835 889731
Travel Cot and high chair available upon request (bring your own bedding).

The house is fully WiFi connected so you can keep in touch with the outside world if you need to and make full use of the SMART TVs and iPad.
